Fees for courses vary according to requirements, but a rough guide would be £50 per hour of contact time with students, £150 for a half-day (up to 4 hours), £250 for a full day (up to 7 hours). If several days are required back to back, a block fee can be negotiated. If extra planning or admin time is required (e.g. marking students scripts) this is charged at £25 per hour.
Other optional factors that can affect course costs include professional venue hire, bringing in professional actors, extra tutors (for example, on larger projects, to provide technical expertise / stage management). Travel, stationery and photocopy costs may also be incurred.
Costs of professional play commissions are in line with current ITC / Writer's Guild rates. For 2007 these are:
Full length play (70 mins +) £6,591
Play under 70 mins £4,394
Play under 30 mins £2,197
